Watched Alan Dershowitz's arguements?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cGk4BRHckA

What are your thoughts on his take on the constitution and that abuse of power is not impeachable?

reply

I watched it last night. I thought he did an excellent job and I agree with his arguments.

reply

It was brilliantly conceived and delivered. His presentation should convince any honest, open minded person unless one can come up with substantive counter arguments (not ad hominem drivel).

reply

A criminal defense for the criminal in the Whitehouse.

reply

He is THE man to get on your side if your guilty ( OJ, Epstein), that's for sure.

reply

The defense is not even trying to defend Trump's actions because there is no defense. What they have been reduced to doing is saying "whatever the President did doesn't matter because it's not impeachable".

Sickening behavior!!!!!!!!!!!

Offending snowflakes isn't a "crime". I don't see anywhere he's using the office to enrich himself, his family or his friends. Also I don't see any evidence that he's selling us out to globalists like 0bama did 24/7. In fact he's determined to put America's interests first. He's cracking down on other countries who've been stealing from us. He's being attacked for exposing govt corruption by the Left. Your label of "criminal" doesn't apply..

I've been following Don the con here in NY for years.

Don't be fooled, this guy is one of the best BS artists of all time.

reply

He did warn us his was a minority position among constitutional lawyers and scholars. He then went on to say that even if Trump did try to enlist the help of a foreign power to smear his chief political rival, that would not constitute abuse of power... and if it did, abuse of power isn't necessarily an impeachable offense.

At least he warned us his was a minority position, so I guess he's being serious even though most thought he was joking.

reply

He also effectively argued that his position was the authoritative consensus for most of American history, and challenged people, current academics or otherwise, who disagree with him, and are wrong, to debate his arguments on substance. Instead we get a few days of CNN and the leftist echo chamber pushing a stupid straw man argument, falsely claiming he had argued the President can do anything as long as his motive is right (national interest).

Ironic since Dershowtiz's presentation was mostly showing the absurdity of basing impeachment on trying to guess a President's motive one way or the other. He argued that it should be based on criminal actions.

I'm much more worried about that dark virus...
