Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama this week purchased a 6,892-square-foot home on Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts, according to the Vineyard Gazette and TMZ.

When asked in a tweet how they were able to afford this Mansion: The Obamas had no response.

Its still unclear at this time how they were able to afford this new house at Martha's Vineyard.

How does someone who had a $400,000.00 salary for 8 years accumulate the kind of money needed to purchase a huge multi million dollar home in Palm Springs and the also manage to be able to spend another $11.75 million for a vineyard in New York. Am I missing something as far as monies earned by our former President?

The one million dollar speaking fees they command once they leave office probably helps.

Republican and Democratic Presidents have all taken advantage of this. It's basically legalized bribery.

LolZ! With one search you might have learned that Michelle Obama pocketed a 65 mil advance on her book deal two years ago. She subsequently went on a book tour and was feted like a rock star by sold out crowds, so it was well worth it for the publisher.

FYI: During his first term Obama made 96% of Bush's expiring tax cuts for the rich permanent. Look it up. That's not something a socialist would do.
