White House can't find any record of call which president insists exonerates him

The White House reportedly has no record of a phone call Donald Trump claims exonerates him over a scandal which is threatening to bring down his presidency.

For someone who keeps claiming that he's innocent Trump sure does act like he's guilty. His behavior is not indicative of an innocent person.

I love this interview with Andrew Welssman, perhaps the most renown and tenacious prosecutor formerly on the Mueller team.

My favorite quote is when Weissman responds to Maddow’s assertion that each day we get new evidence which reinforces or confirms the narrative that Trump extorted the Ukrainian gov for campaign donations. Weissman recounts that when he was “a baby prosecutor”, he used to go to his old boss, excited that he had found a new piece of evidence further confirming their theory of the case, and his boss would reply, “Why do you sound so surprised? THEY’RE GUILTY!”.

There’s only one story here and thanks to the efforts of the House Dems, a clear path: Trump is guilty and he will either go to jail when he is voted out of office or he will resign in exchange for a deal to avoid prosecution (possibly mixed w/some pardons).

I still think there's a chance Trump can pin the whole thing on Giuliani. It all depends on what Giuliani's insurance policy contains.

That's going to be hard when just from what we know now Rudy was a central figure but hardly the only guy on Trump's orders pushing for manufactured dirt on Biden. Rudy, Toensing, DiGenova, Parnas and Fruman were involved in the larger criminal conspiracy to secure illegal in kind campaign donations (in the form of Biden dirt) for Trump. These other side deals are a part of that conspiracy as none of them would have standing to push these deals but for their representation of Trump’s interest and awareness that each of these players was also demanding help for Trump as part of their entreaties. That’s the thrust of the flood of articles we're seeing now on Firtash, Ihor Kolomoisky, and Lutsenko.

As Jed Shugerman wrote, the issue is ‘felony coordination’.

Obvious campaign felony by @RudyGiuliani & the lawyers negotiating these contracts to coordinate manufacturing dirt on Biden:

Soliciting foreign donations, 52 USC 30121.
Felony coordination.
Also adds to state extortion case.
@manhattanDA should indict.

That we’re seeing these articles tells me SDNY is in fact looking to use a larger conspiracy wheel as a story line to indict and convict Rudy et al for the ‘spokes of the wheel’ crimes that Rudy, DiGenova, Toensing will be indicted for (along with Parnas and Fruman who have already been indicted). Like the Roger Stone case, the prosecutors will make Trump the focus of the trial (without actually indicting him) and prove to the jury that the accused did what they did for Trump and to protect Trump.

That sets Trump up to be prosecuted for these crimes post-term.

No log, no record, no nothing of that phone call according to the White House. Least importantly, no quid pro quo - so he claims he said.

reply

Show me the link of Donald asking for this evidence to be found. Or really it is just another made up thing the democrats are doing not to look dumb.

reply

Donald asking for what evidence to be found?

reply

Show me where Donald asked for this phone call search.

reply

Who said he asked for this phone call search?

reply

So your saying somebody asked for a phone search that can't be done without authority to do so. Of maybe asking if really happened for a different time or day because they wanted to do a story that the call can't be found, because it was asked for under a fake time and day.

reply

I have no idea who asked for the proof and who authorized it. What is known and confirmed is that the White House can not provide any proof there was ever any such call on September 9.

reply

Since SONDLAND TESTIFIED to CONGRESS that the PHONE CALL took place, The IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY probably asked the WHITE HOUSE for PROOF of this.

-------------
QUOTE:

The US ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland testified to congress earlier this month that Mr Trump had made clear to him in the call that there was “no quid pro quo” with Ukraine.
The alleged conversation came on 9 September
*****

TRANSLATION: SONDLAND FALSELY CLAIMS that a PHONE CALL took place that DID NOT.

*****

“This is Ambassador Sondland speaking to me,” Mr Trump told reporters outside the White House last week, while reading notes of Mr Sondland’s testimony in the House impeachment inquiry.

************

Then the SCAM MAN FALSELY CLAIMS SONDLAND SAID SOMETHING in a FAKE PHONE CALL that NEVER took place.

***************

“Here’s my response that he just gave:

**************

In other words, the SCAM MAN claims he's INNOCENT because he QUOTES from his SHARPIE PEN NOTES that he wrote down where he claims that a PHONE CALL took place that NEVER TOOK PLACE.

Then he also does the same thing again when he TWEETS a message on TWITTER.

**********

But no other evidence has emerged regarding the call

***********

BECAUSE the CALL NEVER TOOK PLACE.

IT NEVER HAPPENED and is MERELY another SCAM that the SCAM MAN INVENTED to prove he's INNOCENT when he is NOT.

Just like he also INVENTED the other STORY about how the MEETING that his SON had with a BUNCH of RUSSIANS was ABOUT the ADOPTIONS of RUSSIAN CHILDREN when it WAS NOT (because it was an EFFORT to try to DIG UP DIRT on HILLARY in 2016 just like this is a case where he tried to DIG UP DIRT on BIDEN in 2020).

*********

the White House has located no record of the conversation

***********

They can't locate it Because there was NO PHONE CALL

**********
Trump’s claim the 9 September call and the subsequent release of the $400m to Ukraine exonerates him of a quid pro quo is also undermined by the timing.

*************

IN other WORDS he's LIED AGAIN in an effort to try to COVER UP what he's done, just like he did before when he FALSELY CLAIMED the MEETING his son had was ABOUT the ADOPTION of RUSSIAN CHILDREN when it was NOT.

THE PHONE CALL is just another one of the SCAM MAN's NON STOP SCAMS ... like the case was with his FAKE UNIVERSITY and his FAKE CHARITY.

Yet, his supporters believe, without question, that this call exists. These same people who DENY recorded video of Trump saying things just believe this call exists with no evidence.

If that isn't blind follower cultist mentality then what is?

reply

I know. Look at the response from elcamino to me, above. It doesn't even make remote sense - have no idea what he's trying to go after.

reply

Yeah, it's that classic Trumper "Defend Trump at all costs, whether it makes sense or not!" knee jerk defense.

reply

Exonerate him from what? By my estimation, he hasn't done anything wrong. Now Joe Biden on the other hand....

reply

Read the article. I'm not here to educate you.

reply

I don't have to

reply

Then remain ignorant which is typical of Trump supporters.

reply

Much like the selective outrage worn like a cloak by the left.

reply

What is wrong with Joe Biden pressuring Ukraine to fire a corrupt prosecutor general during the midst of Ukraine's massive corruption problem?

No Trumper can explain how it was wrong.

reply

Imagine if he didn't intervene and pressure Ukraine to fire him? They would say he ignored the corruption to help Hunter.

Instead, he did the right thing - and Republicans can't grasp it.

reply

Excellent point.

reply

I hate to break it to you, but I don't think your estimation matters much in the grand scheme of T-rump's impeachment. Just a guess...

reply

Actually, applying cold hard logic is a great strength of mine. As such, I have an uncanny ability to predict how these things are going to unfold.

reply

Then explain the logic of what is wrong with Biden pressuring Ukraine to fire prosecutor general Shokin who had multiple western agencies calling him out for his laziness to prosecute corruption.

Is it suddenly wrong just because it was Biden that got it done?

You can't do the right thing if your son is working for a Ukrainian company?

A little logic is all I'm asking for here.
