Republican logic: 'Impeachment is against the Constitution!' says WH Press Secretary

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham went on T-rump's primo news source "Fox & Friends" yesterday to remind America and the House of Representatives that impeachment is against the Constitution.

“Undermining the president is dangerous and it does go against the Constitution,” Grisham said. “It does go against the American people, which is something that is happening in Congress right now.”

OOPS! Looks like Grisham was absent that day in 10th Grade, when her history teacher explained that Article I, Section 2, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution gives the House of Representatives “the sole Power of Impeachment,” which can be used if the president commits “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Looks like the FOX friends were also absent from school that same day, as no one bothered to correct her.

In other words, to make it very clear to Grisham and everyone employed at FOX & FRIENDS - an impeachment inquiry is well within the confines of the Constitution.

If done honestly. So far the Republican are saying they won't even let this be voted on in the senate. Exploding Eye is telling everyone to make there senate vote on it.

"I don't buy the Senate will never move [on impeachment]," Biden told an audience at a CNN town hall in Grinnell, Iowa. "It will depend on what their constituency says."

I can't even see the Senate even looking at this.
Thomas Lasch, Hickman’s boss at the time, corroborated his story on Twitter.
“Jim, I remember exercise ATLAS VISION and this incident. I was your Boss at the time and was satisfied when you told me that you ‘took care of it’ (meaning then MAJ Vindman’s disparaging comments about the U.S. to the Russians ) and I just put things together this past week,” Lasch tweeted.

If the House impeaches, the trial takes place in the Senate...That is how the process works!

"So far the Republican are saying they won't even let this be voted on in the senate"

Again: The House impeaches, The Senate votes to acquit or convict...It's not an optional thing! 🤣🤣🤣

I swear you cannot possibly be this thick, it has to be a bit...

The Constitution does not by its express terms direct the Senate to try an impeachment. In fact, it confers on the Senate "the sole power to try,” which is a conferral of exclusive constitutional authority and not a procedural command.

Typical antifa LIE!

Here's the quote you cited: “Undermining the president is dangerous and it does go against the Constitution,” Grisham said. “It does go against the American people, which is something that is happening in Congress right now.”

Where is WH press secretary saying "impeachment is against the Constitution"?

OK, because you're short-bus stupid let's go through this bit by bit...

Grisham is asked to respond to Nikki Haley's comment that 'undermining the President is dangerous'. Grisham agrees with Haley's comment and she says:

“Undermining the president is dangerous and it does go against the Constitution. It does go against the American people, which is something that is happening in Congress right now.”

Ok, childishone - can you connect the dots? WHAT IS SHE REFERRING TO when she says 'something that is happening in Congress right now' ? Do you know what's going on in congress right now that she's referring to as 'undermining the president' and 'goes against the constitution', you idiotic imbecile?

I'll give you a hint and spell it out for you : I-M-P-E-A-C-H-M-E-N-T.

Now can you make the connection or is your reading comprehension that lacking?

Grisham is saying that 'What is happening in Congress right now - IMPEACHMENT - undermines the President, and goes against the Constitution'.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT NOW?

reply

Wow! So now you're relying on cut and paste to try and worm out of your LIE. LIAR. Delusional, antifa LIAR.

The Constitution lays out a way for presidents to be removed from office by Congress, just as it lays out a way that presidents can take office without a popular majority or even plurality. This procedure cannot successfully be invoked without the support of a supermajority of the public larger than what is necessary to elect a president in the first place.
For that reason, Trump is highly likely to be in power at 11 am on January 20, 2021.
