Will Trump Attempt The "I'm Too Stupid" Defense?

https://www.salon.com/2019/10/30/is-trump-just-too-dumb-to-do-crimes-heres-why-that-defense-wont-fly/

I doubt it would work, but it feels like he's headed in that direction.

Defense to what? The Republican Senate already said to shove this to the democraps.

It worked for Donnie Diapers - remember Mueller said something to the effect he was 'too stupid' during the Russian investigation?

reply

A nimrod! lol!

OMG that WSJ op-ed that opines he's too stupid to collude was HILARIOUS.

But the fact that it actually ruffled his feathers enough that he's throwing tantrums over people saying he's too dumb and incompetent to commit crimes is comedy lore. LOOOOL!

I do find that news borderline unbelievable for the simple reason that he's responding to a written op-ed. Trump reads? Who knew?

I think the better question is will his cult following buy that defense? It's kind of a catch-22. If they do then they're forced to admit the god king they idolize is a nimrod.

You know, the "I'm too stupid" defense could work in the T-rump family's favor. Probably the only family in the world that could make it work.

What he needs defense against a bunch of spineless Biden backside kissers upset about being shut out of a crooked future they thought they had.
BREAKING: CBS News is reporting that Tim Morrison, the National Security Council's Senior Director for European Affairs, testified before Congress on Thursday that he heard nothing illegal on the phone call between President Donald J. Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Morrison also reportedly testified that the transcript released by the White House was accurate

reply

No wonder why the White House had no problem with letting Morrison testify and didn't try to exert executive privilege to obstruct his testimony like they've done for ever other witness. I was wondering what Morrison's deal was.

reply

Interesting. He corroborated ( more or less) with Taylor, but also played it safe.

reply

But he did testify that he did come to understand it was a quid pro quo later after speaking with Sondland. But you'd never know this if you were just relying on the spin put on his testimony by right wing headlines.

“Ambassador Taylor and I had no reason to believe that the public release of the security sector assistance might be conditioned on a public statement reopening the Burisma investigation until my Sept. 1, 2019, conversation with Ambassador Sondland,”

The quid pro quo was again confirmed to him by Fiona Hill when he took over her job and he testified to trying to persuade Trump to release the aid to Ukraine.

But the White House thought this was friendly enough testimony to not try and block his appearance. Interesting.

He may come back and work when Nikki is in but I doubt it.

We all know how stupid Orange Head is, so the defense might work, but I doubt it.
