The Dow, S&P, and Nasdaq all hit all time records two days ago. The Dow is up about 18% on the year so far, the S&P is up over 22%, and the Nasdaq is up over 27% in 2019.

stocks up, gas prices down....

reply

The GDP is way down, too. It declined in the first quarter for the first time since 2008, making this our worst decline in a decade.

Dow

March 23 - 18,591.93

April 28 - 24,105.37
(current as of posting)

Recovering from the Chinese virus plunge fast. Up about 5,500 points in a month. Where do you think it might be a few months from now?

reply

Before or after we finally get rid of President Dumbass?

If somehow he hangs on for a second term, I would expect it to be at least doubled by the end of his second term(like his predecessor,) so somewhere north of 36,000...

reply

What's funny is that the Dow only increased by around 4,000 points during Obama's entire second term, and has already gone up about 5,500 in just the past month.

If we want to keep that rate of improvement going we had better vote to reelect Trump.

reply

What's funny is you comparing raw point totals when the % is a much more telling number...By your metric, Ronald Reagan was a miserable failure, he barely managed 1000 points in his whole two terms! But even Saint Ronnie's 147% gain is ever-so-slightly eclipsed by Obama's 148%-

Can you do the math to calculate Chumpy's number to beat if he is fortunate enough to win a second term?

reply

LOL! I was actually comparing Obama's entire, miserable second term to just the past month under Trump, a month of record growth that illustrates how temporary the big, Chinese virus-driven fall you tried to politically exploit likely was.

What's hilarious is you committing reputation suicide by posting these moronic, intellectually dishonest and comically myopic threads in the first place, and then helping us bump them when they're predictably blowing up in your face.

reply

Well, that month of record growth has thus far only managed to erase 50% of the total loss, so I suppose we shall see...

reply

that month of record growth

Yep. With Trump as President we're poised to recover from this Chinese virus quite nicely indeed. ๐Ÿ˜€

One shudders to think what would have happened if Trump hadn't been President, and instead we'd had:

- open borders
- no foreign travel restrictions until at least well into March
- less pressure on the White House to do something because 99% of the media was inclined to give them a complete pass on inaction even as Americans died by the thousands (e.g.
Obama's passive response to the Swine Flu)
- a terrible, anti-business climate created by high taxes, monstrous regulatory burdens, and hostile presidential rhetoric.

That would have meant not only more people dying, but another "L" shaped recovery instead of a "V" shaped one, with big government liberals eventually (once action was finally taken) seizing the crisis as an opportunity to permanently entrench massive socialistic expansions of control over people's lives.

By contrast with President Trump America has a good chance to remain America.

At least you're clear about what you're rooting for.

reply

I am indeed rooting for the ignominious downfall of our ridiculous POTUS...

reply

..and for the downfall of the stock market, economy, and America. Don't forget that. Fortunately you currently aren't getting your way.

big boom no posts lol,

reply

Not sure how or why Dick is trying to spin this....

reply

Dick's a shallow partisan troll who didn't think this through. He sucks at this.

reply

Dick is a sock account of someone here, its pretty obvious.

reply

Yeah, especially since his first post was inanely accusing a bunch of other people of being sock accounts. Tell tale sign. While trying to deny it he actually admitted to creating another account to argue with you about the stock market a year ago. I guess he realized his tactical error because he didn't answer what its screenname was and has avoided the topic when questioned on it since.

reply

What has the stock market got to do with t-Rump?!

reply

[deleted]

Dick is an anti-Trump partisan who was trying to be sarcastic. He just didn't think it through and reality has blown his thread up in his face.

OMG how do you feel you pathetic little crybaby? Do you need a diaper and a pacifier? How about a Safe Space and some kind of anxiety animal?!

This moron will never work in the capacity she studied and trained for ever again!
She 86'd her career with extreme prejudice.
Just so the communist liberal extremist dumbass democrats could embarrass themselves one more time.
Unbelievable.

The pieces of shit who celebrate stuff like this have no pot to piss in, no stock portfolio and are unaffected by any drops. Seems they should be more worried about their own failed lives than Trump.
