Just two days after US AG Bill Barr “ had a private talk” with Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch, journalist Shepherd Smith is out at Fox, where he has been employed for 23 years.

Smith has been publicly under fire from T-rump, slamming Smith for being critical of him. Smith has also been engaged in an on air feud with talking head Tucker Carlson for “ protecting “ T-rump.

Fox talk host Neil Cavuto told viewers he was stunned by Smiths abrupt departure, saying Smith was a reputable journalist at the network. Correspondent John Roberts said the same thing.

I’m sure AG Barr’s talk on behalf of T-rump had nothing to do with his ouster.

Now we all know what happens when "fair and balanced" coverage happens for even just a brief moment. Chris Wallace, Neil Cavuto and Judge Napolitano better get with the program.

With all this talk surrounding impeachment and whistleblowers, I'll bet anything Trump is the only one still miffed about SharpieGate.

Different stories are surrounding this. He’s saying he wanted out and has been negotiating for his exit. Others are saying he was let go after Barr intervened on T-rumps behalf. Still others are saying Fox no longer wants a news division and is turning everything over to their entertainment division and hire more opinionated talking heads.

Jeanine Pirro , the Saturday night host who made Islamophobic comments about a Muslim Congress member, was suspended for two weeks back in March, and she admits she was on the brink of being fired - until T-rump called Murdoch and saved her ass.

That wasn't CNN.

You whine about Ilhan Omar when she has criticized Saudi Arabia for its connections with 911. How does Trump "criticize" Saudi Arabia? By selling them weapons so they can hand them off to ISIS and al qaeda. And gives the Saudi leader a pass for cutting a US resident into pieces.

One of the discussions on another site explained that the FOX News division has been shrinking rapidly (this is where Smith, Bret Baier, Cavuto, Napolitano, Wallace are employed), especially since the impeachment talk over the past few weeks. Shrinking in terms of staff and financial support.

Their entertainment division - where 'opinion hosts' Pirro, Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham, Levin, 'FOX & FRIENDS' are employed under - has been growing to build 'a secure firewall' around T-rump. As this impeachment keeps gaining ground, we'll be seeing less news and more entertainment on FOX.

I've only watched Fox News a few times in my life (I don't have or want cable) and the times I've seen Shep Smith he's over the top with sensationalizing things and being a drama queen. (no I'm not making fun of him for being gay, ok yeah I am)

They should have fired him years ago.

You've got to be kidding. Those four thrive on sensationalism and being drama queens on television. Those four need to be fired - for a number of reasons.
