Holy Jebus, Christian Taliban Trump surrogate goes on Fox and threatens 2nd Civil War if Dems impeach Trump

Evangelical pastor and Trump surrogate Robert Jeffries goes on Fox and Friends and warns of thousands of angry evangelicals and a new 2nd "civil war" if Dems *legally and constitutionally* impeach Trump.

He cites the Book of Daniel that discusses "a war between North and South", the forces of God against the Anti-Christ, and Trump retweeting his call to arms. Sounds like he's invoking Armageddon.

Additionally, Trump private lawyer and Fox legal analyst Joe diGenova, a man responsible for pumping foreign disinformation into the 2020 election to again illegally help Trump secure election, has clearly told listeners of a Fox News-linked podcast to *purchase guns* and be ready for a *Second Civil War*.

These nuts are dangerous and Fox is clearly facilitating these nutjobs in their quest to foment civil unrest and violence.

He sounded pretty angry to me. I'm curious how you justify calling that a "prediction" and not a threat? It's not like he said "I predict". He outright said if Dems impeach "it will cause a Civil War-like fracture from which this country will never heal".

In the unlikely event Trump is impeached and removed, he's half right. The fracture, which is already forming, will happen. But it may be reparable.

In the unlikely event he were removed that would require almost 20 Republican Senators voting to impeach. Don't you think it makes more sense that whatever violence you're alluding to would be directed at the elected Senators in your own party that made it happen?

Calling something a "civil-war like fracture" isn't a subtle reference to violence.

Regardless, I don't think it will come to that. Based on the bombshells of the last six hours I now think a negotiated resignation where Trump is promised non-prosecution post-presidency for himself and his family members is the most likely outcome.

I am sure those negotiations are under way already. T-rump knows damn well that's he drowning with no life raft nearby - I'm sure his team is working on something as more bombshells develop every hour.

I think this might be a little optimistic. I think a few things will have to happen first before we get to where his inner circle is negotiating any sort of post-presidency settlement. But I do think the inertia has us hurtling toward that outcome though a lot is still contingent on how it all unravels. This week is going to be intense. The bombshells haven't really slowed down at all, they just keep coming daily at warp speed.

First and perhaps most important is that Barr needs to be reigned in. He seems to be moving full steam ahead with his Death Star 2.0 plot of discrediting the Russia probe I think in full realization that his hands are too dirty to pull back now.

Zelensky just capitulated Donbass to Putin yesterday. Trump and Pompeo kept him onboard with a sale of 39 million of Javelin missiles he was begging for. Trump and Putin finally got their way as apparently quid pro quos, secret promises, and military invasions will work in the end. I wonder whether the Ukrainian people will stand for what was obviously a deal made as part of a larger bargain to drop sanctions on Russia. Some are already accusing Zelensky of treason.

Zelensky held up his side of the bargain by giving away his country to Russia, he’ll likely deliver on the "trumped up" Biden evidence in a couple of weeks with the DNC server probably just being found now in some dusty old cabinet.

I'm dying to learn about this emergency meeting today. All eight congressional committees were called back to session early by State Department IG Steve Linick to discuss documents related to Ukraine just brought to his attention. This could be a game changer.

I find this notion of a "2nd Civil War" to be laughable for multiple reasons:

-Our obesity rates

-The fact that much of Donald's base is 50+, fat, old and physically unfit

-What the fck would they even "war" against? Would they just start shooting anyone who isn't white? Anyone who "looks" like a liberal? Who? What? Where?

The thing that makes it most ridiculous is that in order for a civil war to truly occur, the military itself would need to fracture into warring factions. The U.S. military serves their country, not individual groups who happen to be pissed that a corrupt President was removed from office. So any rising insurrection would be stifled by the U.S. military almost immediately making the idea of an actual civil war laughable.

EXACTLY. Well said and very true--any knuckle dragger who took to the streets with their guns would be mowed down by US military in short order.

The only thing that would come of it is a warehouse full of Trump moron bodies after the military shot them for a criminal uprising.
