Trump Supporters Said He Wouldn't Answer to Special Interests

But Trump repeatedly gives in to them. He's afraid of the NRA instead of doing what 90% of Americans want.

The tax cut for the rich had to do with keeping rich donors happy.

It sounds like Trump supporters forgot why they voted for him and he's yet another politician.

reply

The NRA isn't too happy with him. He banned bump stocks and is now supporting background checks and "red flag" laws.

reply

T-rump no longer supports background checks or 'red flag laws' since Wayne LaPierre reminded him 'the NRA has him by his pubes' a few weeks ago.

reply

WOW. Thats the biggest load of bullllllllshit I've ready all day. The NRA made NO MONEY off of Bump Stocks. They said from the beginning they weren't crazy about supporting them. Trump banned them because the NRA didn't give a crap. Where have you been!?

And the whole point of this thread is showing how Trump has changed his mind on background checks. Looks like he had a little chat with the NRA. Now he's not so sure any more.

reply

The OP doesn’t mention background checks, so I don’t see how it’s the whole point of the thread. And let’s not pretend that you wouldn’t be crucifying Trump for failing to ban bump stocks if he hadn’t done so.

"He's afraid of the NRA instead of doing what 90% of Americans want."

The OP is obviously referring to background checks here.

"And let’s not pretend that you wouldn’t be crucifying Trump for failing to ban bump stocks if he hadn’t done so."

Obama left them alone. But I understand why. Repubs would've crucified any democrat that tried to ban them. But if a repub does it, only a few of you bark out loud. The NRA doesn't care either way though because there's no measurable amount of money to be made from bump fire stocks. Its an entirely separate business.

Trump is a special interest, the scoundrel.
