I wonder if Colin Kaepernick and Megan Rapinoe are watching. Probably not.

reply

More importantly, I wonder if Elaine Chao is watching?

She should follow T-rump's advice to the Quad: She needs to go back to 'where she came from' and fix the problems in her own country, before she thinks she can fix the problems here.

Send her back! Send her back! Send her back!

reply

Elaine Chao is a patriot. I'd trade Colin Kaepernick and Megan Rapinoe to China for those pro-American Hong Kong demonstrators any day though.

You set the bar pretty low if the Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao is a 'patriot' to you. Send her back to China, and let her be a patriot there.

reply

The bar for not being traded to China is not hating America. It's a low bar. I'm generous. Kaepernick and Rapinoe don't clear it.

reply

The bar for which you measure Chao’s patriotism is very, very low. Unless you truly support corrupt administrators serving our country? Not surprised you do since you support a corrupt president. That’s not patriotism at all. Far from it.

reply

Why do you hate America, Doggiedaddy? Which core value do you oppose most: Individual liberty, free market economics, Judeo-Christian values, or constitutionalism? Or do you dress up your disdain for the country as hatred for alleged "white supremacy" (ala Kaepernick) or alleged "sexism"/"patriarchy" (ala Rapinoe)?

What's your reason for kneeling during the national anthem?

reply

Sweetie, if I 'hated' America, I would have voted for T-rump and support him today.

reply

Wrong. Leftism is inherently anti-American. Your ideology's goal is to destroy the American system and replace it with something else, even to the point of replacing the American people themselves with foreign imports in hopes that their votes will permanently solidify its power, a project launched by the treasonous drunk Ted Kennedy in the 1960s and on full display today. It's the ultimate betrayal of a citizenry by its own government.

I'm curious what in particular drew you to leftism. What aspect of America do you hate most? Constitutional principles like limited government (Obama called the Constitution "an obstacle to social justice"), including the First and Second Amendments? Or do you hate the American people more, either racially or culturally (e.g. entrepreneurialism, rugged individualism, both self reliant and charitable which are obstacles to socialism, Christian, work ethic, confidence, kicking ass militarily and otherwise when challenged)?

reply

Wrong. Leftism is inherently anti-American.

LOL!

Doggiedaddy's anti-Americanism must be extreme if he won't even condemn a communist terrorist movement dedicated to overthrowing the nation.

BTW, you've been hitting bullseye after bullseye on here. Nicley done. Their "loaded language" grows so tiresome. I'm suprised you're able to tolerate it.

Thanks. Kicking around unscrupulous morons is a long time hobby of mine.

reply

Why not answer the question? I presented an argument and backed it up with specific points. Your inability to substantively respond amounts to waving a white flag on the issue, and you didn't even retain dignity by surrendering in a classy way.

I'm not using "anti-American" as a mindless insult like the BS in your shallow posts. "Anti" just means opposed to. Whether it's good or bad is a subjective value judgment. Socialism is generally antithetical to founding US principles, and in the modern era the New Left has taken to warring against US culture too. There's a reason the left defaces and burns the flag, or disrespects it with anthem protests, not conservatives. This was your opportunity to flesh out and clarify your own views and you're blowing it.

reply

Asked and answered, sweetie. Asked and answered.

reply

Nope. You just weakly implied you aren't anti-American while accusing Trump of being that, without supporting either claim at all. You didn't answer IfImBoredImHere's question above either.

reply

That tiny country is an economic powerhouse. Why? Capitalism.

Strange the EU is no where to be seen. Must be why they’re waiving American flags. They know MAGA country is their only hope.

reply

The flag still stands for freedom.

reply

They also waved the union jack as well. I think I'd be pissed by this if I was a Chinese citizen in China. It's like seeing Mexican flags being waved in the US. I don't mind them if they're being waved alongside US flags though. Subversion if one could call it that.

China will roll the IAV (Interim Armored Vehicle) in due time once it gets worse as it already is. I used to be for the protest until they called the bill dead and a week after still supported them. Now it's just getting out of hand and into hooliganism where I am losing my support for them. If they bring the bill back I'd support them all the way but the way they're doing it is just fast tracking 2047 to 2019. I think this exactly what Carrie Lam wanted and the protesters easily fell for it.

reply

They waved the Union Jack because they prefer the old British colonial rule they lived under to communist Chinese domination. Mexican flags are waved in the US by ethnic chauvinists, typically by or in support of illegal immigrants who want to come America and enjoy its fruits while disrespecting the country. Hong Kong residents already lived there and just unwillingly had their already prosperous home with its relatively free lifestyle yanked under Chinese rule. They wave the US flag because to them it represents freedom. And of course both flags are an act of defiance, but that's the only parallel with the Mexican flag waving.

I agree that it doesn't look like this going to end well. What limited autonomy they've been allowed is set for extinction in less than three decades. My guess is they're desperately trying to make enough of a scene that Beijing commits, at least on paper, to a permanent deal. Regardless, I'll virtually always support people demonstrating for freedom against a totalitarian regime.
