Bernie on Joe Rogan #1 trending video on YouTube.

It’s worth watching and hearing Bernie explain how all the “Free Stuff” is going to be paid for by Wall Street speculators and taxing corporations that now pay 0% in Federal Income Tax.

Cool.

If we do get a Bernie style socialist in office, the wealthy will only have themselves to blame, for their excesses. (astronomically high pharmaceutical prices, super wealthy who pay low or no taxes, etc.)

Enjoy the video.

Bernie Sanders is a Russian asset. And no, I don't mean that because he's a socialist. I mean that because he's a spoiler trying to derail Democrats from winning any future seats and distract everyone during the next election, like he did the last time.

reply

Hard to understand how you can describe a candidate consistently running neck and neck as either 2nd or 3rd in the polling of a 20 candidate race playing "spoiler". He's one of four candidates in the top echelon with the best shot of securing the nomination. That makes him a player, not a "spoiler".

reply

He's a spoiler because he will never, ever become president and knows it. He's too old, he's Jewish (which will alienate huge voting blocs of both whites and blacks, due to antisemitism) and his solution are not practical.

Plus, his actions during and after the 2016 presidential election proves that he is a spoiler. He is the first candidate I've ever seen in my lifetime to encourage his fan base to "bust" (throw their votes). In the year after the election, when we had a chance to put more Democrats in Congress, he actively campaigned against them.

So, he is a spoiler, no doubt.

reply

In an age where the last two presidents have defied expectations of who could and could not be elected president, Obama resoundingly and specific to his race, I'm surprised to hear anyone place such limitations on the office. Bernie's ethnicity is just that. It plays no role in his life, as he's not a religious Jew. The only people it will 'alienate' are bigots who would make it an issue in spite of it being something he almost never discusses and only when brought up.

You're also not accurately characterizing his run in 2016. After losing the nomination he actively campaigned for Hillary in the general election. He NEVER encouraged his supporters to throw their votes. Bernie or Busters were a contingent of his diehard supporters in 2016 who loudly advertised that they refused to vote for Hillary under any circumstances. But you are highly misinformed to think Bernie himself ever encouraged this from his supporters. The very notion is absurd when he was campaigning for Hillary in the general while warning of the dangers of a Trump presidency.

"In the year after the election, when we had a chance to put more Democrats in Congress, he actively campaigned against them."

This isn't accurate either. How did you come to believe this? In the year after the election Bernie endorsed progressive challengers in Democratic primaries (in partnership with the grass roots organization Justice Democrats) to Democratic incumbents in congress with track records of being more beholden to their corporate sponsors than constituents in their own districts. It's because of the efforts of Justice Democrats that real progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez replaced sellout Joe Crowley as perhaps the most inspiring progressive voice we have in congress today.

Endorsing a more progressive Democrat over a less progressive Democrat in primaries is not "actively campaigning against Democrats". Where did you get this idea?

Last I heard Bernie was polling at 18%, just behind Biden’s 22%.

But that was on Wednesday.

Now though, with: “Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids” I’d except it to significantly rise in Bernie’s favor.

Talk about being out of touch; not to mention alienating countless groups of people. GOOD.

reply

The irony is that a significant volume of Biden's support come from African Americans who remain staunchly behind him in spite of his many frequent gaffes related to race.

Talking to black colleagues who remain loyally in his corner, they remain convinced Biden is the only candidate of the current field that can beat Trump. Despite gaffes that might destroy a less familiar candidate, they don't hurt Joe because he's been around long enough that they know he's not a racist and means well.

His personal bio of seeking out a summer job as the only white person working as a 19 year old lifeguard at a public pool frequented only by blacks while America was still segregated in 1964 really helps him.

reply

You don’t have to be against a race to have racist views. His Freudian slip strongly implied that he believes white kids set the standards for intelligence and talent, and that non-whites are all poor, and that whites are not poor. It’s a mess.

I’ll take your word for it on his African American base of supporters but it’s mind boggling.

Also, Joe taking a summer job at a pool in a black neighborhood compared to Bernie getting arrested for protesting Chicago’s early 60’s school segregation leaves Joe in the dust.

reply

I'm not trying to compare his activism to Bernie. Just trying to explain why his gaffes don't seem to affect his support among blacks. Similar to how blacks in Virginia remained firmly behind Dem governor Ralph Northam when his old yearbook pictures surfaced. The thinking is "Of course white people harbor racist views, we all knew that, but who acts on it and who doesn't?". Northam's track record representing black constituents and progressive causes as Dem governor absolved him of being a racist to his black supporters.

What I think hurts Bernie most is the perception he's less electable in the general due to the "socialist" label. Rightly or wrongly (and I firmly fall in the latter camp), the word has long been branded as a political smear. It's being used against him right now by his Dem primary opponents and will only be ratcheted up to obscene levels along with all the hyperventilating red baiting tactics by Trump and the GOP machine should he win the nomination.

reply

I wasn’t trying to imply that you were comparing Joe to Bernie. I guess I was the one doing that, lol. I do however find this pool job bragging somewhat disturbing. So what, big deal: he got a job with black people. He’s supposed to be lauded for that? I don’t care if it was 1862, a truly egalitarian person would never seek credit for such a thing. Plus, he took a job away from someone who probably needed it much more than he did.
Joe’s latest gaffe probably will get swept under the rug though.

Obviously I’m a Bernie supporter but it’s not just wishful thinking on my part that I don’t think Joe has the energy nor the spirit to sustain a competitive campaign.

As for Bernie and his Socialist label: I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s a big problem, along with his reluctance or lack of really explaining how he’s going to accomplish his goals. The info is there but you have to dig for it. He needs to make his policy plans more clear for the average voter.

Proposed democrat media/party/lemming spending. $93 trillion.

Current federal spending for 2020. $4.7 trillion.

Total federal tax revenue 2019, $$3.44 trillion.

Even the most brainless democrat lemmings can see the problem here. Or can they?
Answer: no

To put the proposed democrat media/party spending in perspective. The US 4th of July parade the democrats got their panties in wad over cost $2 million. The proposed democrat spending could buy 45 million 4th of July parades.

But Bernie said it so it must be true. When have we heard these lies before? Obamacare. “You can keep your doctor”, “it’ll be free”, “premiums will go down”. Premiums are now up 500-800%.

Andrew Yang for those interested. Seems like they're all doing Youtube stuff, lol. I don't see Joe Biden doing any of this... I would like to see him on some podcast as well but maybe he's not into those.
