Kathy Griffin being investigated by the Secret Service

Finally a Lefty is being held accountable for her vile and disgusting behavior. It's about time.

This is NOT a freedom of speech case as the Left would have you think. It is actually illegal to threaten the President of the United States. If a conservative had done this with Obama, they would have nailed his/her hide to the wall. Then they would lock them up, and throw away the key.

She also threatened to "put a beatdown" on Trump's 11 year old son, Barron. She says that Trump is a bully, but she is actually the bully, and a vile and disgusting excuse for a human being.

I hope they throw the book at her, but they will probably be too cowardly to do so.

So go ahead, Lefties, howl with derision, as I know you will

And I smell a Kool-Aid drinking drone who cannot see his/her hand in front of his/her face.

Funny, I dont remember any of that happening to Ted Nugent when he threatened President Obama. He was even a guest at the white house recently

When exactly did Mr. Nugent threaten dumbo ears?

He talked about killing Obama and other democrats multiple times. The secret service spoke to him in 2012. It was pretty big news, you dont remember??

The Ted Nugent comparison is a really dumb talking point the leftist blogosphere has dispensed to its bottom feeders around the internet. At best it's a stretch that misses the point. There's no valid equating of a throw away verbal sentence or two with going to the trouble of physically constructing a realistic looking, severed, bloody president's head and holding it up ISIS style in an "art" project. The visual is worse, and was intended to be so. It also shows more dedication to the idea of killing the President. After all, Madonna talking about blowing up the Trump White House (in a lot more serious and direct tone than the frequently jesting, hyperbolic Motor City "Madman" used) didn't receive the same type of blowback that Griffin is (or that Nugent did for that matter).

The left has always been more crass and unscrupulous than the American right, but the death threats and hatred directed at Trump and his family, much of it from the establishment media entertainment industry, is worse than anything seen before (excluding actual assassinations), and until now has had virtually no push back from anyone but conservatives, who don't have anywhere near the public voice that leftists do (especially recently with the various purges). The whole asinine partisan "Resistance" cry even uses the language of war. The silver lining from Griffin's disgusting act will hopefully be that it serves as a watershed moment where at least some of the more reasonable liberals in positions of media power pause and say "enough" on the partisan jihad, or at least its most hateful aspects.

It IS a case of freedom of speech, numbnuts. While her expression of it was tasteless and vulgar, she still has the right to express it.

Try and remember that a LOT of rights--like this one--are protected by the Constitution the next time you get your panties in a wad and you use it as an excuse to justify unlimited and unregulated gun purchase and ownership.

reply

No it's not. You have freedom of speech, but like all freedoms, it has limits. For instance you are NOT free to yell "Fire" in a crowded cinema, or threaten the president. Both are illegal.
Also one has the right to swing his/her fists all he/she wants, but not the right to hit another person in the face.

As to the purchase of guns, that is protected by the second amendment. However, if the citizens of a state don't like that, they are free to pass state laws to countermand that.
That's how our Republic works, and you have just demonstrated your lack of understanding
of it, butt-head.

BTW, don't your get YOUR panties in a wad. Other than being fired by CNN (a shock to me), nothing will happen to that vulgar little slut.

PS Since your have violated that standards by name calling, I have reported you to the Moderators. Have a crappy day.

Freedom of speech is applied very broadly when it comes to political expression. As long as Griffin's photo didn't include a direct threat to the President (which it didn't), there is nothing illegal about it.

And states could TRY to pass laws outlawing gun purchases, but Federal law countermands State law, which is why they don't try because they'd just be declared unconstitutional in a Federal court. That's why it hasn't been done anywhere in the country, moron.

reply

Showing the severed head of the president seems to be a direct threat to me. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.

And States CAN and HAVE passed laws which countermand the overreaching federal government. It's covered under the tenth amendment. Look it up. Despite what Lefties think, the federal government is NOT the ultimate power in this country. The ultimate power is We The People.

Usually all the feds do in that case is to withhold federal money from that state. This is what should happen to cities and states which are so called "sanctuary cities or states" in violation of federal immigration law.

BTW, since your just violated the standards by name calling, I have reported you to the Moderator. Have a crappy day.

If your crackpot assertion that legal rulings by states trump existing federal laws works for you, then by all means go on with believing it. It's hard arguing with someone who wears a tin-foil hat all the time.
