Why would anyone ever stay in a motel?

When the options are hotel or motel, why would anyone choose a motel? Motels are more likely to be shady and be less safe with drug deals.

reply

Perhaps they desired a shady drug deal?

Besides, when you need the room for only a while, a rent-by-the hour, no-tell motel is your best bet.

Hey, it's twenty bucks vs who knows how much for a hotel.

The last hotel I stayed with charged $240 per day.

Booked the room and this place looks interesting.

It isn't a big box/high rise/ant farm kind of hotel.

http://www.placedarmes.com/

It was built in 1715 and is supposed to be one of the most haunted hotels in New Orleans, lol. It was once a school and many students and teachers died in the great French Quarter Fire.

It was also the site of public executions of criminals and rebellious slaves.

One of the ghosts is a little girl who asks guests "Have you seen my grandmother?"

I'm going to take some Tootsie-Rolls and if I see her, I am going to pull a sucker out of my pocket, lick my lips and say, "Do you want a piece of candy, little girl?"

lol.
