Anime similar to death note?

I haven't seen it myself, but from what I've heard, Code Geass is similar to Death Note.

I also recommend Monster, which is a little bit similar to Death Note, and very good.

Yeah, Code Geass is definitely the closest thing to it. A lot of similarities.

Code Geass is the best you're going to get in terms of quality. Agreed on others with Psycho Pass.

I'm also throwing in Future Diary and Shiki as recommendation.

I might recommend Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl). They're not too similar, but I can say that the "death" part is a common point.
