You might be able to excuse his occupation of assisting in killings, extortions, racketeering, stealing, torturing, etc.

You could also overlook his hand in world domination, committing world holocaust to repopulate the earth, corner the computer chip market, help cause WW3 so a media tycoon could improve upon his media outreach.

If he was able to separate his occupational life, his 9 to 5 job and treat you like a princess. Maybe privately, he was warm, compassionate, sweet, and tender. Possibly, a Largo.
