Nebraska/Oklahoma Rivalry

Anybody miss it? I do. Around Thanksgiving, those teams would play. And most of the time, it was a pretty good game.

But then Nebraska left the Big 12 for the Big Ten and the rivalry ended.

Now in November 2013, Nebraska had quite an exciting thriller against Northwestern. They beat them on a last-second Hail Mary. As exciting as that was, I've often wondered what if Nebraska had still been in the Big 12 at the time and did that to Oklahoma?

I'll bet people would be partying all night long here in Lincoln. That's for sure.

Don’t watch college athletics much anymore, but why did the Huskers leave the big 8, big 9, big 11, whatever it was?

Ok, money probably played a factor , but I can’t believe that the Big 10 offered more national exposure when osborne and crew recruited and signed players from California to Florida...guess they got tired of Stoops killing them and the boys from Ames, Iowa getting an occasional win....

It was Texas actually. The Big 12 seemed heavily biased in favor of Texas.
