Your Top 5 Video Games of All Time

If the games tie or are from the same franchise you can put them in the same spot -

1. Metal Gear Solid 1/2/3 - most engaging and enjoyable video game experiences i've ever had
2. Resident Evil 4 - a masterpiece in game design and atmosphere
3. Street Fighter II - best fighting game of all time and the best video game soundtrack ever
4. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker - brimming with innovation and an unrivaled sense of adventure
5. Ico/Shadow of the Colossus - beautiful art design/atmosphere and the most unique video games i've ever played

Honorable mention - Half Life 2

Borderlands 2. Its like a casino had sex with a FPS and made this classic.

XCOM. Loved getting attatched to my soldiers only to have them killed off in horrible fashion down the line.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The most gorgeous and tranquil game Ive ever plays. Plus, first-person sword fighting is awesome :)

Fallout 1. Played this for the first time a year ago. Been hooked since, especially now I that I have it on mobile.

Shadowrun Dragonfall. A cyberpunk, strategic turn-based game. Need i say more?

Cant get enough of these :)

I know I'll get bashed for picking some sports games, but what can I say? Ok just one

1. MLB The Show. If I am simply going by what I've played the most it would be this franchise. Out of all sports baseball is probably my 3rd favorite unless my fav team is doing good then it's #2.

Shitty baseball isn't fun, but great baseball is amazing. So it's not my fav sport but this is my fav sports game. The in game awareness by the announcers is top notch. It rarely feels repetitive, and eveything, the gameplay, graphics, crowd awareness and interaction, are all stellar. And I love the trading and free agency more than anything.

2. Gauntlet- Love the classic arcade version but the NES version is nearly as good. Even for an 8 bit game it really captures that ghosts and goblins feel. I also find the music somewhat creepy and with an impending doom tone. And when your health gets under 100 and that "dun dun dun dun" sound comes on it just adds to the feel of impending death. And when you are almost dead you can feel so helpless. I've never beaten, and that's even with watching a walkthrough! But it's not a frustrating loss, it's one I always find myself coming back for.

3. UN Squadron- Fast paced, challenging, addictive. Beatable but quite difficult.

4. Final Fight- Came out around the above mentioned game, and Capcom really delivered with both UN S and Final Fight. Great graphics, something so satisfying about killing guys on this game.

5. Left For Dead 2- In all honesty Resident Evil is the superior game, but when I play a zombie game I really just want to blast zombies. That's where LFD2 comes in. For someone that rarely plays shoot em ups, I often get board trying to learn all of the different controls. One button to pick something, one to reload, one to shoot, one to jump, etc.
LFD2 can be learned in 3 minutes. The only thing I don't love is the hillbilly dudes voice, but that's just because I think people with southern accents sound stupid.

This is a tough list to make, because you could ask me a month and I mood may change.

Hard question but off the top of my head...

Super Mario World - Best non 3D Mario game imo. Loads of secrets, classic platforming action

Streets of Rage 2 - Best (official) Side scrolling beat em' up. Graphics that still hold up, great music, solid game play

Halo - Excellent single player, co-op and multiplayer experience

GTA 4 - Great story made even better with expansions, Great graphics, plenty of attention to detail that even it's successor missed out on.

Smash Bros. Melee - No one owned a Gamecube and not this game. Nuff said.

Tbh I actually did. I was more of a PS2 gamer and I bought Gamecube literally just for Wind Waker and Resident 4. Wasn't disappointed at all.

Of course SSB wasn't for everyone
