Moviechat by far! Imported much of old IMDb content.....easier to use, cleaner interface.....IMDB2 is confusing, and TMDB is even more confusing......plus MovieChat has Jim!!!

shareIMDB V2.0 is better becuz of the sheer volume of posters, but it is hosted by biased mods. I can already envision being in an argument there and getting banned because the biased mods would side with their friends, so I wouldn't even entertain posting there. Those snowflakes can't handle dissention, so let them have their boring AF safe space. LOL.

Not that IMDB2 is an option for me because I got banned, but here you have specific movie boards with archived content from IMDB still there, plus all the same regular boards that you have on IMDB2 and a better interface that doesn't feel like the 90's. No reason not to prefer MovieChat
shareThis place would be the better of the two if it had more traffic. The other place is busier but, it's a little clique of friends who do a lot of a** grabbing and they hate outsiders. It's not an inclusive board.
If this board had more traffic and features, it would be *the* place to post. Maybe, folks will eventually migrate here. Or, we'll just start our own busy board. :)
I think even the admin of that shitty proboard is one of the soapboxers and its name is Betty.
And it used to ban everyone on its shitty chatzy the same way it is banning people on imdb2

That's severe. I look at that board and it looks busy, but boring. Maybe this place is picking up? I wish you could add photos to the movies and the actors. And there are a few other features here that would be nice. The imdb2 board looks like an early 2000's board in design. Boring. But, at least the place is busy. I can't deny that.

That place is busy with 600 regulars who are only there because they miss IMDb boards. They are all getting bored and unlike this place you cannot discuss latest movies on their individual boards, actors, directors, et seq

I think you have an interesting point, but that's the Exact reason they will Stay there now. Habit. That and all their friends are there. I keep wanting to hang there because I know so many people there on IMDB2. I still go there from time to time myself, though adiment about allowing this place to thrive.

When admin and mods of that place will keep banning users for various reasons they will come here.
Besides, you need different people to interact with. That is what made IMDb great. Same 600 users being moderated by the Big Brother there not being able to fully express themselves is not a great environment.

I went to IMDB2 and looked around for the first time last night. There was a link here to it on The Changeling board. It's much better than I'd thought, or heard. I like it.
But, the focus is on IMDB's former General boards, which I never posted on and have little interest in. Thanks to Jim having had the foresight to put the Trending scroll on MC's home page, the activity on the film and shows boards are gaining activity. I've noticed a lot of people posting on the various film/shows board I've never seen in the General Discussion board, which had become home base here for posters.
So I have to assume most come here, see the scroll and go to those boards first, or just type in whichever show/film they're most interested in and start posting.
I have nothing bad to say about IMDB2. It seemed fine from what I saw. I just prefer it here.
