Have Plot, need Title (Italian film)

Years ago I saw an Italian film w/English subtitles that was an epic tale following a family from the late 60's through the 70's during the cultural and sexual revolutions. It was long and presented in parts on the Sundance Channel (I think). I don't recall any great give away nuggets for identifying it other than it followed friends and siblings through their struggles with the changing times. One of the women leads was a radical anarchist following a radical path in breaking up the bourgeois establishment.
