apocalyptic B movie in the desert

Ive asked this before but still can't remember the name of the movie. It's a B Movie set in the desert apocalypse. Everyone is trapped in a TV studio, and there's a fat guy who gets his hand bitten because there's an alien or an android and his hand swells up. Can anyone tell me the name of this movie?
