Does anyone have any romance movies or TV shows to recommend with good scenes where the man rescues/defends, saves, whatever, the female character?
Examples I would give would be:
Dangerous Beauty where Marco Venier defends Veronica from his psycho cousin,
New Moon where Jacob saves Bella from drowning,
Etc...
Not very Women's Lib of me, but I enjoy that kind of plot device very much. I figured this was the place to ask.

Princess bride is definitely one of my favorites. I've seen all the Indiana Jones movies and liked them, but I haven't seen Jewel of the Nile so I will try that one. Thanks!

Even though I didn't really like the movie, and it's not a romance one, (sorry) I always liked the way Lucius (joaquin phoenix) saves Ivy from the monster in The Village. The score/music is really nice in that scene.

One of my favorites is a little known movie set in New Zealand called "Starlight Hotel". It doesn't have one big rescue scene but rather the entire movie just about is him taking care of her; not that he's very happy about it, she pretty much follows him around :) (he's very sweet, adorable and so cute).
