Alot of them were dark and supposedly true or changed by disney

There’s a YouTube channel called Messed Up Origins (hosted by a super cute guy named Jon Solo) that breaks down and compares the original stories to their more well-known Disney counterparts and it’s really something seeing how different they are. The original Sleeping Beauty is one of the most disturbing stories and that’s saying something.

People really seem to be into darkened fairy-tales these days. Not sure what the appeal is.
