The Hitcher (1986) and Re-Animator (1985)

I hope no one here is OCD enough to give me a hard time about not putting those movies in chronological order.

Anyway, it just occurred to me to wonder: were Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell, in The H.) and Megan Halsey (Barbara Crampton, in Re-A.) siblings? If so... man, that was one unlucky family.

Rough couple of years, there, for the Halsey family.

Maybe there could be some kind of a Hitcher/Re-Animator mash-up, someday. I would stand in line for this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftm1hiXgYsA

Megan Halsey did not survive.

whoop. Sorry. I haven't seen it in... too long, apparently. I just remembered she didn't die when the head was being a cunning linguist. Does she die shortly after that?

Right near the end, a disembodied arm strangles her in the elevator. Cain tries to save her but it's no use. The final shot is him injecting her with the serum.

Must be hush hush on spoiling a 30 year old film.

Not everybody has seen it.
