Your thoughts on The Mothman Prophecies (2002)

A reporter is drawn to a small West Virginia town to investigate a series of strange events, including psychic visions and the appearance of bizarre entities.

So I first seen The Mothman Prophecies ten years ago late one night and it immediately became one of my favorite horror movies. I really liked it!! I thought it was a beast of a movie. Up until I had seen it, I had never heard of the Mothman legend, whatsoever, so I promptly went out and bought near all of the books about the legend (I must confess I have more than an interest in the area of the supernatural/paranormal) and in fact The Mothman Prophecies book by John Keel is one of my absolute favorites. So anyway I digress but the movie itself is absolutely brilliant I think - full of a foreboding eerie mood.

What did you guys think of it?

In what way did you find it stupid, do you mind me asking?

Fair enough, I guess.

I thought it was kind of dumb, but to be fair I'm a very harsh critic when it comes to cryptid creature flicks... I prefer my myths to be a little less fake 

Yeah, that is the one. She was the wife of Richard Gere's character.

A very interesting story, unfortunately the movie was painfully boring.

reply

It reminded me of a bad, dull X Files episode.
