Best and worst horror remakes?

What is your favourite and least favourite horror remake?

For me, my favourite is definitely The Ring (2002). I feel like it stands on it's own as it is so stylistically different from the original. Great cast, great cinematography, amazing score.

Least favourite is probably Psycho (1998). What a pointless movie. Literally zero creativity went into it, I think, although the dream sequences during the murder scenes were a nice touch.

Some I did like:
-2001 Maniacs
-Halloween
-Let Me In
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
-Friday the 13th
-Children of the Corn
-Night of the Living Dead (1990)

Worst:
-A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). If this weren't part of the series I'd probably never watch it again. Unfortunately I'm a completist so if I watch one I feel like I have to watch them all. It's basically what would happen if you took the original and had a vampire suck all the life out of it.
-Come Out and Play
-Day of the Dead

It's not part of the series. It's a remake.

Favorite/Best: The Wolfman (2010). The original is a masterpiece, but this one is even better. Very relatable, likable and complex characters with excellent development. Beautiful love story with a lot of thematic depth, fantastic performances (Particularly from Del Toro and Blunt, who share MAGNETIC chemistry) and GORGEOUS practical effects. One of the top 100 best movies of all time and CERTAINLY the most underrated.

Least Favorite/Worst: The Wicker Man (2006). I know a lot of people consider this a "so bad, it's good" movie. I just find it retarded and insulting. Nicolas Cage is one of my favorite/best actors ever, and as over the top as his performance is, it's the only thing even REMOTELY resembling a redeeming quality. Horribly characterized with pathetic, a stupid story and idiotic themes/messages that have NOTHING to do with the original.

Favorite: Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Least: Harder to determine. Maybe Day of the Dead or Night of the Living Dead 3D
