Is Salem's Lot (1979) Overrated?

I watched the first hour or so and had to turn it off. Found it very boring. Between watching a writer who doesn't do much writing, an old antique dealer giving everybody the stink eye and a philandering realtor who couldn't sell fish to a starving seal, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Or is it just me?

reply

Since it was originally done as a TV mini-series, it's very long winded as a three + hour feature on dvd.

reply

probably isn't for you....I still like it a lot and watch it at least once a year.

reply

no

but when you wake up... it's back in the saddle.. again.

reply

I don't think it's fair to call something you've only watched half of overrated.

CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.

reply

It's just you (again- maybe you should take a hint brah)

reply

Yeah, this. In fact I don't think it's fair to say much of anything about a movie you turned off without finishing.

What would you do, trapped in another dimension?

reply

It's obviously overrated if you didn't like it.

I collect dead pigeons then I press them between the pages of a book.

reply

Oh, look what the Cat Sick Blues dragged in... 
