Looking for off-beat, lesser known comedy gems

Hey. I have recently been watching two great comedies that for some reason had fallen under my radar for the past 10+ years: Bowfinger (1999) and Grosse Pointe Blank (1997).

Can anyone recommend other gems that a lot of people, including me, may have missed out on; intelligent, hidden cult comedies with an off-beat, off-mainstream style?

Thanks!

Two directed by Wes Anderson: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Royal Tennenbaums.

Evry1 has the right to believe anything they want&evry1 else has the right to find it * ridiculous

Thanks, sounds great! :-)

I normally don't care for Robin Williams' movies, but I thought World's
Greatest Dad was quite good. It's dark and twisted, and not for everyone,
but it's definitely offbeat and thought-provoking.

I really like the Mockumentary styled film "Drop Dead Gorgeous"(1999)

and I saw a film not too long ago called

"Fay Grimm" 2006)

I thought the acting was superb, and it had this rather odd, but great sense of humor that I enjoyed

Just a few suggestions.

Peace!
