Question about Six (Spoiler Alert!)

This is a really good show, but I have a question about tonight's episode 5:

Why did the Terrorist Leader Emir shoot the guy at the laptop in the head? Why would he do that, especially after agreeing to turn Michael over to Boko Haram? It didn't make any sense to me.
Randomly shooting and betraying your troops is NOT the way to build loyalty.

Speaking of which, the end of the show where the terrorist guy cuts RIP loose, and puts him in the room with Emir was AWESOME! I can't wait to see the finale next Wed!
