Does strength of Kamehameha wave depend on how fast Goku says the word Kamehameha?

Always wondered this. In Dragonball he usually said it slowly. But then in the later DBZ sagas sometimes he says the word super fast and other times he draws each syllable out like he's charging it up or something.
