Jack the Ripper

Long time ago when I was little I saw this movie on TV, it was black and white and it showed a man in a hat and a cloak and he was sneaking through a house and going after a woman that was asleep in her bed. I asked my mom and she said it was a jack the ripper movie. Does anyone know what this could be?
