Please help identify two old films

... but I can't identify them. The first is in black and white (and not necessarily a 'classic') but it ends with a kid basically pulling an old man up from falling off of a cliff, saving the adult's life. I remember seeing the tail end of it on a Sunday evening on probably WGN or TBS in 1989 or so.

The second is not a classic at all, and it's probably from the 70s. It involves some kind of gargoyle people living in caves or underground or something. I think Dr. McCoy from Star Trek is in it. It ends with the gargoyles taking some lady with them. I don't know if it was to be continued or not. I saw it on TBS during a weekday in the summer of 1989 or 1990 or so.

Don't know about your first description but the second one sounds like the spectacularly comical horror movie called 'Gargoyles.' It's a TV movie from 1972 featuring major 40s era actor, Cornel Wilde, who looks a lot like DeForest Kelly (Dr. McCoy). Even though it ends on a cliffhanger, no sequels followed.

That sounds like it. Thanks!

I actually loved that movie! Great excitement for a 12 year old kid! The old guy in the roadside attraction was a great Old Geezer, talking about the Nakatacha Kinko!
