However, it was only in November 2016 that Marc Forster came on board and was confirmed as the director of the film. Shooting for the film began in August 2017 and lasted until November last year.

The plot of Christopher Robin revolves around the titular character (the little boy from Winnie the Pooh) who is now an adult. However, what is bothering and unfortunate is that Christopher Robin has lost all sense of imagination. He tends to overlook the needs of his family due to a demanding job. Pooh realises that Christopher Robin isn’t the same 9 year old kid he had left behind. He observes that Christopher Robin has forgotten how to live life. Will his reunion with Pooh bring his old self back? The movie answers this and many other questions.

The film opens at the ending of ‘The House at Pooh Corner’ where Pooh and his friends are bidding farewell to Christopher Robin who is on his way to boarding school. The movie, Christopher Robin follows Christopher and Pooh's journey back to the Hundred Acre wood where not only does he have to help Pooh on his quest but also convince the gang that he hasn’t changed and is the same old Christopher from many years ago.

The movie runs high on emotions, adventures and Pooh’s wise wisdom. Jim Cummings as Pooh is as usual, witty and full of life. Everyone else from Pooh’s gang gets their moments to shine. Christopher Robin is a slice of life film that traces his journey to self-discovery and is a happy film full of adventure, action, and fun.
