Sui Dhaaga: Anushka and Varun promote the ‘Make in India’ campaign in this movie!

2018 seems to be a year of fresh pairings. Adding to this list is the newest pair of Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan. The actors will be seen sharing screen space for the very first time in Sui Dhaaga.

Anushka Sharma is set to essay the role of Mamta who is an embroiderer whereas Varun Dhawan will play the role of Mauji who is a tailor in the film. The way their looks have been designed rightly sets the tone of the movie which promotes the Make in India campaign. Both the actors took to their social media accounts to share the first look poster of their film. Introducing their characters to the audience, the actors unveiled the movie’s release date as well.

Since the shooting for the movie has begun, the actors have been touring from one place to another. The pictures that surfaced on social media saw both the actors in avatars like never-before. Speaking of the pairing, Varun had earlier said, “I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”

For a film that is promoting the Make in India campaign, it becomes crucial to set the right tone. From the shooting locations to the looks of the actors, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep the film as close to the roots as possible. The movie has been shot at various locations across India including Lucknow, Delhi, etc. Sui Dhaaga is a film about finding love and respect through self-realization. A heart-warming story, the movie celebrates the spirit of self-reliance.

Both the actors wrapped up the shooting for the movie recently. Fans have been waiting for the much-anticipated trailer for a long time now. If reports are to believe the trailer is set to release in August followed by a 40 days promotional tour where both the actors are set to promote Sui Dhaga across the country.

Sui Dhaga is set to release on September 28, 2018.
