has there been a live action sequel or prequel to an animated film?

with all these remakes and reimagined films like the just announced Moana live action remake and the upcoming Little Mermaid film it got me thinking have they all always been a redo? are there some that made the jump to live action but then just continued the story? even a prequel i would say counts.

i'm sure there are some, anyone know of any? if they haven't done anything like that would it work?
