What's really sad is, they think crap like that is still going on today, when they don't realize just how good they have it in the US today. There are a lot of countries that wouldn't give black people the time of day, and many consider them to still be animals, whereas we at least let them know they are full human beings and citizens of the US who can vote and make a difference.
