Best Prequel?

Hi everyone so we always say what's the best sequel, can I ask people here what your favourite Prequel is? Thanks, Dionne xx

I think that’s a pretty thin vein of gold to be mining, but, if pushed, and off the top of my head: Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning, which shows the start of the werewolf curse. One might argue that Godfather 2 was, in a way, a prequel, in that it showed Don Corleon’s history; but the film was so much more than that. It was also a staggeringly wonderful film of epic proportions. It was probably the best prequel-subsumed-within-larger-story film of all, at least, in the English language. Wait. Eureka! X-Men: First Class. I am loathe to sink to a CBM, but, let’s face it, this one takes the X-Men mythos back to its roots, and nourishes them. Brilliant? No. Really good? Yowza. And now that I think of it, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Do you think there will be another entry in the X-Men Origins series? I don’t, either. Nobody gives a shit about any other X-Person but Wolverine. I can categorically tell you the series whose prequels are the worst: Star Wars.

The two Exorcist prequels are useless. Why not do a 2001: A Space Odyssey prequel? Or a prequel to the Old Testament, which is a prequel to the New Testament? There are things that don’t need beginngs. There are things that are their own beginnings, and their own endings, that are whole and complete in themselves.

Not for nothing, among worst alleged prequels: three useless Hobit movies, allegedly based on a book that the publisher described as “the enchanting prelude to The Lord of the Rings” on the very cover of the book, are the main reason why Peter Jackson knows that he is going to fry in Hell. Travesty incarnate.
