Need help identifying this movie title...

Ok,

I saw this movie when I was about 10 - 11 years old, which would have been in the mid 80's.

The main character was a lady who could take peoples sicknesses upon herself, then heal herself from them. I remember she did that once with a boy who had a bloody nose. His nose stopped bleeding, then hers started. She ended up using her power on stage in front of an audience, when a guy with polio was brought out in a bed. She touched him, and took his place in his bed, and the guy with polio was healed, while she then exhibited his symptoms. I think she was warned that she shouldnt do it that time, something about her possibly not being able to heal herself. Dont remember if she did or not.

Other than that, I cannot remember much about the movie.
