A vast majority of actresses who have won the Best Actress Oscar since 1970 have been nude on screen, some more than once. So have most of the nominees.
Coincidence or related?
Do we really know this for sure? I have learned they actually have gotten body doubles for nude scenes in movies. An example is Mila Kunis in Friends and Benefits. It's some less famous woman whose butt you see in that movie. I hadn't looked it up but it may not have actually been Halle Berry who got naked in Monster's Ball. It may have been some other woman. Same with any woman who may have won for a role where there's a nude scene. It may have actually been another woman who did the nude scene on their behalf.
