Help with movie series! - SOLVED

Ok, I'm thinking of a horror series, with I think 3 installments, that has to do with kids on a college campus and something vaguely Internet-ish plaguing them, possibly based on an Asian horror movie? I seem to recall a famous-ish scene, maybe, where they place a bunch of computer printouts onto the floor, and they make a large image? I was under the impression that these were the Pulse movies, but looking at them now, there's nothing about college campuses or the floor printout thing. Any ideas?

I remember the printouts on the floor scene, now I need to know too! The first thought that jumps into my mind is The X-Files for some reason. Can you remember what year it could have been? The scene I remember is probably from the 90’s. The camera started in close then slowly zoomed out to reveal the big picture.

So I definitely remembered that the series I was thinking of was Boogeyman (2005) and it's sequels in '07 and '08; the third part takes place on a college campus.

However! I may have been confusing two movies/series, as I'm not sure this one has the whole blowing-up-pictures-on-floor bit.

I finally found this episode, it is X-Files season 1 ep. 4 "Conduit" about 34 minutes in. Not computer printouts, but a kid draws 1s and 0s on papers then arranges them on the floor to make a picture of a woman's face.

I think Utopia had a collage made from the pages of the comic book scene. They met on the internet.

Other than the already mentioned X Files episode, that's the only one I can think of.

I've definitely seen that. Are you sure it's not the first US Pulse movie? A lot of that takes place at a university.

Yeah, that’s the one I thought it was originally, so I rewatched it, and no scene like that!

There's a scene like that in Mercury Rising, but that's not set on a college campus, nor is it a horror film.
