Lost Boys and the song TOY SOLDIERS

I swear I remember the song Toy Soldiers (Martika) was in the soundtrack of the movie... but NO! Is this some kind of Mandela Effect??

reply

It must be a Mandela Effect, because The Lost Boys was released in July of 1987 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lost_Boys.

Martika's "Toy Soldiers" wasn't recorded until 1988 and released in early 1989 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toy_Soldiers_(song).

Damn I swear that I even remember the video clip with parts of the movie, so weird

What's a Mandela effect?

Mandela Effect is something that you and a group of people remember vividly but it never happen so it's like a proof of parallel universes

Cool, thanks 👍

Mandela Effect, as much as I hate the term because I remember the day he fucking DIED, isn't the correct term here.

What you have is a case of misremembering an actual song from the movie that has a similar bridge chorus similar to "Toy Soldiers". The song is "Cry Little Sister" and the child chorus sounds a lot like the one from Martika's song

Are you sure you didn't confuse it with this song from the soundtrack, which has a similar choral arrangement in parts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrMLMV6E4CM&ab_channel=AaronWoodDBS-2
