Hello everyone, I am looking for a movie that my Mother told me about when I was a little girl, so it would have been in the 30's or 40's.....about two women who each have a son that she loves very much, and then when the boys are about 10 or so, the parents find out they are not their biological sons, the babies were switched at birth ! The agony of the parents is that they have to now tell the sons they raised that they have to go back to the biological parents who are strangers....anyone remember the title, or actors who were in it ?

There was a film called The Town Went Wild (1944), although it was a comedy. The movie you are describing sounds like it had a serious tone.

Yes, my mother was so moved by it that she was talking about it 40 years later.....so it wasn't a comedy, but thank you for reading my post and reaching out to me
