Newer movie which is a tribute to old flying saucer B-movies

There is this donut and ice cream place that has a really retro UFO/rocketship theme going on, and they have a TV which plays various older B-movies, matinee serials, etc. dealing with aliens. One time they had a movie playing, which was obviously newer (like late 1990s or later) independent movie judging by little production details such as picture quality and acting, but was definitely a tribute to UFO B-movies of the 1950s. It was something along the lines of "Alien Trespass" or "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra" (I've never actually seen the latter, so maybe that's it).

I asked the staff if they knew what movie this was, but unfortunately, they did not. This particular production was in black in white, and I remember a scene showing a flying saucer on the ground, and another scene with a man and woman walking along a beach looking kind of worried. I think the woman was wearing some kind of otherworldly white gown or bodysuit. Does this ring a bell?

Bump.

Maybe "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers" (1956)?

It matches your white suit and beach couple description.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I could have sworn this looked more like a newer production rather than an actual older movie, but it's possible I misjudged it.

If it's a newer film it could be Mars Attacks! (1996), which was a spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies.

Good suggestion. This one was in black and white, though.

I think it is The Lost Skeleton of Cadavara. Kitschy throwback to aliens. Intentionally hammy movie.
