It was being shown in the UK on Freeview but can't remember which channel (5 USA?) and think the series was called something like [in]Famous Crimes or something?

Each episode was only about 20-30 mins long and featured the rise & fall of anyone from Jesse Jackson Jnr to that guy who replaced Obama as senator (who loved his hair).

FBI agents and lawyers featured to add details?

Could be corrupt crimes. It's on either cbs reality ch.66 or true tv ch.72.
