Another Low Budget Sci Fi Film I Saw Forever Ago -- I FOUND IT!

Here's another film I watched in the late '70s early '80s, probably on KTVU in San Francisco on Bob Wilkins' Creature Features, I think. Or on one of the similar horror/sci-fi late night movie shows.

Some hikers, or campers, or maybe anthropologists are exploring a forest and come across a preserved caveman/bigfoot/neanderthal type of creature. They're examining it and one of them says "did you see that? I could swear his hand moved," or words to that effect. They decide it's obvious it didn't move. It's long dead, maybe even mummified or otherwise ravaged by time.

Anyway, it did move because later it's up and around, and probably terrorizing people. Who's to say? I only remember the scene described above.

Please to help?

There was a Hammer film called Horror Express (i think), with Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee & randomly Telly Servallis as a ninja or something just as strange !
They find a human-like creature found in permafrost in China and transport it back into Europe on a train where it defrosts, wakes up & kills most of featured cast.

****SPOILER BELOW****

I think it ends with the train being diverted and crashing from an unfinished line into a canyon.

I recently watched that film. It isn't bad-- I'd recommend it, honestly-- but this is a different film. My memory is that this was a film without any known stars, and probably shot on a small budget.

Not an exact match but maybe Trog?

Interesting role for Joan Crawford. I only vaguely know that movie, but that is not the one. Thank you for making the suggestion.

Not the film in question, but also something that looks very interesting. Thank you for suggesting it.

OMG I just found it. I was looking through the far end of the channels on Sling and saw something from the mid-70s called Curse of Bigfoot and darned if that wasn't it. Lousy film, but glad to have finally figured out the name of the film I saw all those decades ago!

Thanks again to all who chimed in with suggestions.

I have Amazon Prime and just entered Sasquatch and got over a dozen movies about hikers or campers coming face to face with a bigfoot.

I did the same search and a lot of campy horror films/ pseudo-documentaries popped up, but nothing that looked like it could have been this film. I'm guessing the one I saw was made between 1967 and 1976.
