All I can think of is Shania Twain's song of the very title but your sample doesn't match that melody, nor is she a poppy Hipster musician

using lyrics search I found a song called A Child Ago by Biffy Clyro, it sow a bit like this but like I said it was a female singer, and had that catchy melody as chorus
I found out I heard it (at a bar) from someone's Spotify playlist so it could be fairly obscure :/
The only modern tune I could find using Lyrics.com was Amy Diamond's "Looks like we Made it" which repeats the very line in the chorus BUT the tune is done in a reggae arrangement
