This has been driving me mad, please help!!!

Ok

So this is what I remember about the movie:

1. Its a prison break movie but its not one the usual suspects.

2. The main character is a new inmate and the warden is making something from matches. I think its for his wife.

3. The main character is helping him build it.

4. There is scene during the movie were the character is in building something with the matches and is left alone. He uses the chance to try break out of the room. He does and for some reason has to race back the room. When they open the door they think he has escaped but the room panes and it comes out from behind the desk.

Thats all I remember but any help would be so appreciated.
