Looking for dragon themed movie /Solved by not existing/

Ok, I hope I'm not imagining this movie existing, but I swear there was another film similar to Reign of Fire (2002) released somewhere around that time. I'm very certain it also had dragons in it.

I don't remember what it was actually about, or who starred in it, I just remember confusing it with Reign of Fire.

I've tried googling, I've read list after list of dragon movies. I can't find it!

Any help would be appreciated, even if it is to confirm that I may have imagined it.

reply

Thanks keybored. I've checked out that list, and I can't recognise whatever it is on it.

As I said to the poster below, I might be thinking that Reign of Fire of two different movies.

reply

Since you state that it was around the same time as Reign of Fire, my guess is Dragon Storm, but it was a SyFy Channel movie. I remember it got high ratings as many millions tuned in to watch it.

reply

No, not it. Thanks anyway.

And actually, I'm beginning to think I might be thinking that Reign of Fire of two different movies...

reply

It's very common to misremember or even combine differing memories into one single experience. My grandfather use to call Star Wars "Galactica" when I was a kid because I use to watch the series on ABC back in the late 70s as a kid, but he never saw the Star Wars movies, so whenever he saw an image of laser beams and space ships he always said Galactica.

reply

Yup, I'd toss it up to a brain malfunction. But for years I was convinced such a movie really existed lol.

reply

So you're sure you weren't thinking of Dungeons & Dragons? It came out just two years before Reign of Fire.

The only other close one is Eragon from 2006.

reply

No, it wasn't proper fantasy. I also remembered one had Christian Bale and the other Gerard Butler. Turns out, both were in Reign of Fire!

Thanks for your suggestions though :)

Official confirmation

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, It hath been decreed that one- MinaVladamir has indeed imagined this movie.
It's all in her fragile little mind or she's confusing this "dragon" movie with Stuart Little or something similar.

I do however apologize for not having anything constructive for your post.
I certainly hope you find your dragon.

reply

Where is your lady to shout at me when it's actually appropriate?

reply

I may have chased her away permanently.
This of course is my loss, with no new prospects on the horizon.
Maybe I'm better off just getting another dog.

I seriously laughed so loud I scared my dogs. They went running out of the room.
This is too good.

The great thing about it is it doesn't matter who's who. We're interchangeable on any given day.
That's why it's so perfect or would have been perfect. :(
I'm also glad you used God instead of humperdoo. Although that may have also worked.

Thank you for this!

I did not but it's brilliant.

Could the film have David Thewlis in it? Or the screen version of your excellent rant?

As I said, I don't think such a film actually existed now. But yes, David Thewlis can play Dewey's fair lady.

reply

[deleted]

Or, we could take this whole Magnum PI thing full circle, and cast Tom Selleck and his mustache. And have Liza do the dubbing, since only she can trully capture the state of Dewey's mind /utter confusion most of the time/.

reply

Hahaha...sorry

They are good actors, so they can pull of even Dewey levels of dumbness, I'm sure.

I can totally see Liza Minelli doing the kazachok to Rasputin in some very stylish disco. And Tom Selleck doing it in his passtime, because he's worldly that way.

reply

For your information there isn't an actor alive that can pull off my level of dumbness.
SO THERE. HA! Deal with that genius.

reply

Tom Selleck may have a few years on me. I'm not sure.
I'll have to check my birth certificate to confirm.
I really hate having to dig it out. It's so heavy being written on stone and all.

For the record Liza has never acted dumb "for awhile" in her life.

reply

What are you trying to say Mina. It's not very clear.
Oh, I'm Mina I'm from Bulgaria. Yeah, I've never heard that one before.
Whatever.

Ти си толкова болка в задника ми. (something like that) Not in a good way.

Now I feel better.
който те обича бебе If not me ? 😜

reply

Confused again I see.

Some random Bulgarian is going to stumble on this one day and be very perplexed. But also, hopefully, get a kick out of it /even if it is gibberish/. Keep trying, one of these days you'll get it right.

reply

There is a strong possibility that this is the height of my understanding of the Bulgarian language.

Maybe years from now people will come across this and use it as a teaching tool
for the less fortunate.

Gibberish ? This was all from the heart. Well, kind of.

reply

I did a little "experiment". This is what comes back after I put into Google Translate what you did:

"You're so painful in my ass"
"Who loves a baby"

Those two sentences should never be in such close proximity to eachother.

Also, I rest my case.

reply

LOL.

Fair enough. I'll have to work on this to be sure.

reply

Dragon fly...

reply

The one with Kevin Costner? There aren't even any dragons in that one croft lol.

reply

Yeah...my bad,sorry...Are you sure it's not from 2004?

reply

Now I'm sure I was thinking Reign of Fire was two different movies.

Sorry to waste everyone's time.

reply

I like a good puzzle😉
