recently someone here helped me identify "House of D" and while it was exactly the movie I was looking for, it was not entirely as I remembered.

Does anyone know of a similar movie, eg: less fortunate teen boy and well to do girl except in this one the parents are more involved. Also set in New York city as I recall. The rich girls father blocks their romance.

like the the post title says "LONG SHOT", any and all suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure it is not Cocktail. A crime politics or law drama most likely.
