Name the film? Solved by Idlefrog

Apologies if in the wrong part of forum.

I can only remember a couple of scenes in this comedy, cannot even recall the actors, but here goes. Hope you guys can help.

For some reason an urn containing someones ashes is on a shelf in a kitchen. Obviously the urn gets knocked over and the contents is mixed with some stuffing intended for a chicken/turkey.

The later scene is the ashes/stuffing being cast into a lake in front of grieving family, and instead of being gracefully shaken into the lake, the ashes just drop off the spoon with a plop into the shallow water. I'm sure the said ashes/stuffing were then eaten by a dog, but I could be making that up.

I think it's a British film, or maybe TV episode, set in a hotel. Pretty sure it's 1980/90s

I realise it's a long shot, but I'm sure someone will remember these scenes better than me and remember the title. It is just a case of, are they reading this.
