Boxing movie

I remember seeing a movie years back about an old boxer training a younger one for an important fight. When the date of the fight is getting close the opponents friends attack the younger one and while fighting them off breaks his hand so he can't fight. The old trainer fights the big fight for him and gets knocked down repeatedly but wins in the end by standing up and giving him an upper cut. I remember his saying throughout the movie just keep getting up if you do they'll know they can't beat you or something like that

The Boxer (2009)?

I'll let you know when I come-up with a new signature, .

Thank you for the reply but it was older than that I think maybe from the 80s or 90s I should also mention that they fought bare handed and I don't think it was in a big ring but more like one where people just came to watch

I think maybe but I can't be sure 100% I remember they played a bunch of movies one a week for a while one was about a gun that kept turning up with different owners and people were getting shot by it and a photographer was following it around if that helps at all the boxing movie was one of them

Are you the same guy who has asked this question several times before and not kept a list of the films that were previously suggested?

Bomber (1982) was a Bud Spencer film, where he fights with no gloves on for his fighter at the end. Brian Dennehy has a bare knuckle fight at the end of Gladiator (1992), he was a fight promoter or club owner.
